okay so i was gonna go and start on my take-home test that's due tomorrow but i have to get this out.

i was at work today and we close at 9. so around 8:55 some guy decides to come into our store to buy this lawn chair and margarita mixer that we had advertised in our flyer since last Thursday.
he asks about the chair, and i tell him, we sold out of the chairs early in the week, he refuses to believe me and asks about some box with a chair that's similar to the one on sale but isn't it. i obviously couldn't see the box so i tell him that's part of our stock and that he can buy it. i did not in any way at any time say that it was the one on sale.
so after he asks about this margarita mixer that we obviously didn't have. we didn't even get any into our store last week or if we did, very little.
so i tell him and he goes all "but i need it for my pool party tomorrow don't you have something that's similar?!"
and i could barely get a word in before he walks away. so i'm like okay...
so i wait for the last remaining customers. he becomes the last customer, at this point it was like 9:10, wayy past the time the store closes.
i tell him the chair that he has is not the one on sale, he asks me what the difference is and i tell him what they are and that the chair doesn't match the one on the box.
he blows up at me and just yells. then he storms out of the store.
my manager was just letting out the remaining customers and he exits the store only to push his way back in and starts yelling at our manager.
i actually thought we had to call the cops or something. he was so angry but we didn't even do anything wrong.

i dunno. it's kinda vague right now, i can't remember too much. ugh

and to that guy who thought it was a good idea to yell at the manager and store associates (who by the way were all female tonight so we didn't even have a guy working), i hope everything goes wrong during your precious pool party. you should go to anger management and get your shit sorted out. seriously. AND NEXT TIME YOU SEE SOMETHING IN THE FLYER THAT'S ON SALE AND YOU WANT, DON'T COME INTO THE STORE AS WE'RE CLOSING AND ON THE LAST DAY OF THE SALE EXPECTING US TO HAVE IT FOR YOU. IF IT'S A GOOD DEAL, IT'LL BE GONE QUICK. OH. AND READ THE FLYER, IT SHOULD HELP YOU.

ugh. rude.

hello some of the songs we listened to while we were in our pre-teens and possibly earlier.
ohmygoodness the sexual references. i can't believe we loved listening to these songs while we were younger. and i thought the sexual references in songs now were bad. this is like subliminal in a way cause we were young, didn't know what the hell the lyrics meant, music was catchy.
oh man i giggled so many times while listening to some of these songs ahahahaha

GWN 2008 Professional Photos

OKAY
For those that missed out in coming out to see the races at GWN 2008, there were professional photographers on both the left and right sides of the race course taking pictures of the teams while they were racing. SO

if you want to see what all the hype was about, go to this site:
http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/thumbpage.aspx?e=4076347

aaand if you want to see photos of the York Seawolves in their element

We are in the following albums:
Sat \R008 - 942 am [We are in lane 5, our steersperson aka our coach is in a bright orange hoodie]
Sat \R029 - 1251pm [We are in lane 1, steersperson aka our coach is in a bright orange hoodie]
Sun \R062 - 933am - H Division Semi Final 1 [We are in lane 4, steersperson wearing a white shirt, drummer in a white shirt and baseball cap]
Sun \R083 - 1242pm - The Heller Group H Division Championship [We are in lane 4, steersperson wearing a white jacket and a white toque(red lifejacket), drummer in a red jacket and a baseball cap(orange lifejacket)]

The pictures are located throughout the album so they're not in just on one page of the album. They show different parts during the race whether at the start, at the middle or near the finish. Also the lane numbers are on the front of each boat. The pictures also show the different area of the boat during the race. eg. pacers and drummer, engine room, rocket room and steersperson, engine room and rocket room, steersperson, drummer, etc etc.

So yea, go check the albums out, just looking back at the pictures i can remember what happened when each picture was taken(in my boat obviously..i ignore the other boats). and not only that, i can still hear the excitement and noises that were going around from our team as well as other teams with their drummers and steerspersons yelling out commands and the encouragment from team members when paddling started to get tough and our muscles were starting to scream and burn.

Money made from raffle tickets will go towards paying for York Seawolves boat practices and races during summer '08
Find a Seawolf to purchase your raffle ticket or for more information
Thank you for supporting the York Seawolves!!

FAQ'S:
Who are the York Seawolves?
-York Seawolves is a
non-profit, non-sponsored water sport club/crew. [Dragon Boat]

I've never heard of the York Seawolves, how long have you existed?

-The team was created not too long ago. It's atleast 2 years old so we're fairly new.

Why support the York Seawolves in buying a raffle ticket?
-We use the money to pay for our summer boat practices as well as our races in the summer [ask a seawolf for details on which races we do]

Do I have to be a student at York University to purchase a ticket?
-Not at all. If your ticket is a winner, you will be contacted personally via e-mail by one of us Seawolves =)

How do I purchase a ticket?
-Find a member of the York Seawolves and purchase it from them. =)

Do you keep any of the money for yourselves?
-No, all the money that we raise goes towards paying for the teams practices, races and our coaches. We don't keep any of the money that we make nor do we keep any of the team's fees.

Where are the York Seawolves located?
-Our office is located at
301 Bethune, York Keele Campus, as well you can also find the team working out and practicing our paddling at the Tait Mackenzie Fitness center and pool every Sunday at 2:30p.m.

I want to join the team, how do I go about in doing that?
Send Diana [our team leader] an e-mail at dbclub@yorku.ca for more info, as well our team practices every Sunday at 2:30p.m. SHARP at the Tait Mackenzie Fitness Center and at 4p.m. SHARP at the Tait Mackenzie pool [Keele Campus]. (latecomers will be doing more than 2 rounds of suicides in the gym.)

What other fundraisers do you do besides the raffle draw?

-We have had 3 bake sales this year with another 2 being planned as we speak. We also have car washes in the summer [location not decided yet] for a preferred $5..but that's something we'll be advertising as the warm weather gets closer =)

What do the paddlers get out of the races and practices?
-Exercise, new friends, and the satisfaction of knowing you did your best in whatever rank the team comes in.

Why do you have team fees?
- Because nothing in life is free, the money goes to paying for our races, coaches, pool bookings, paying for the lifeguard during our pool practices, an our boat practices. But don't get us wrong, our team fees can't cover everything. Races are priced from $600 to as much as $1200 so we need the fundraisers to pay for those.

Where do you practice in the summer?
-We practice down by Sunnyside beach on a scheduled weeknight each week.

Any other questions floating around, ask a Seawolf who will be glad to answer your questions =)

[Verse 1]

Oh, oh, oh

No matter what you say about love
I keep coming back for more
Keep my hand in the fire
Sooner or later, I'll get what I'm asking for

No matter what you say about life
I learn every time I bleed
That truth is a stranger
Soul is in danger, I gotta let my spirit be free

To admit that I'm wrong
And then change my mind
Sorry but I have to move on
And leave you behind

[Chorus]
I can't waste time so give it a moment
I realize, nothing's broken
No need to worry 'bout everything I've done
Live every second like it was my last one
Don't look back at a new direction
I loved you once, needed protection
You're still a part of everything I do
You're on my heart just like a tattoo

(Just like a tattoo, I'll always have you
I'll always have you, I'll always have you)

[Verse 2]

I'm sick of playing all of these games
It's not about taking sides
When I looked in the mirror, didn't deliver
It hurt enough to think that I could

Stop, admit that I'm wrong
And then change my mind
Sorry but I gotta be strong
And leave you behind

[Chorus]

I can't waste time so give it a moment
I realize, nothing's broken
No need to worry 'bout everything I've done
Live every second like it was my last one
Don't look back at a new direction
I loved you once, needed protection
You're still a part of everything I do
You're on my heart just like a tattoo

(Just like a tattoo, I'll always have you
I'll always have you)

[Bridge]
If I live every moment
Won't change any moment
Still a part of me and you
I will never regret you
Still the memory of you
Marks everything I do

[Chorus]

I can't waste time so give it a moment
I realize, nothing's broken
No need to worry 'bout everything I've done
Live every second like it was my last one
Don't look back at a new direction
I loved you once, needed protection
You're still a part of everything I do
You're on my heart just like a tattoo

I can't waste time so give it a moment
I realize, nothing's broken
No need to worry 'bout everything I've done
Live every second like it was my last one
Don't look back at a new direction
I loved you once, needed protection
You're still a part of everything I do
You're on my heart just like a tattoo

Just like a tattoo
I'll always have you
